Excellent entry. I can’t really help on the political blogs. There is a Tobias Schwarz at Fistful of Euros who I think is good but I haven’t looked in detail.

I avoid Davids Medienkritik, since I think at best it’s for Americans only. I don’t agree with its general views. What is even worse is that, in my opinion, it distracts one from thinking about Germany intelligently because its main focus is on this polarization I keep meeting in forums, where America versus Germany becomes a kind of team sport, whipped into a frenzy in the comments. In addition, I can’t afford to keep smashing up crockery.
